Resident Teaching Artist

VERACITY is a Moroccan-American Actor, Singer, Writer and Teaching Artist. She began acting for both stage and screen during her youth in New York City, where she trained in Opera (Mezzo-Soprano), Modern Dance, and Tap, outside of her public school education. She has performed on stage at The Public, St. Ann’s Warehouse, Atlantic Theater, The Flea, NYU Skirball Center, Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, Abingdon Theater, INTAR, The Gene Frankel Theater, Dixon Place, 45 Bleecker, University Settlement, and La Mama. Veracity has performed as lead singer for her band, VIOLETS, at venues across Manhattan and Brooklyn. She has taught theatre education curriculum with Manhattan Theatre Club, and is currently a resident Teaching Artist with Roundabout Theatre Company, where she develops theatre curricula (focusing on playwriting, acting, voice, and movement) for students and community members across the city. Recent television and film credits include BULL; Law & Order: SVU; The Downpour; What Came After; Docket 32357; Alternatino (Comedy Central); and the title role in feature film Marjoun and The Flying Headscarf, now available on Netflix. She graduated from Middlebury College with high honors in Theatre and Arabic.
